Part 2

The Parable of the Sadhu". Reflect on the information from this course and consider your personal ethics. What would you do in this situation? Why?

The Bible mentions that we “should judge not, less ye be judged also”. It is easy sitting in my office to poo-poo the people on the side of that mountain. All of us I’m sure have had time and places when we have acted in a similar manner. As a young teenager I was embarrassed by a car my father drove. He picked my brother and I up from school and was taking us home when he said he noticed something along the side of the road. I was embarrassed because my father stopped his car, and had me run across the highway to check it out whatever he had seen. My ‘friends” drove past us waving and laughing at good old goofy Hobus. As I looked into the steep ditch I saw an old man had fallen and broken his ankle at the bottom. My dad had seen a glimpse of a hanky as he drove by. He cared when everyone else just ignored his waving hand. This has stuck with me to this day, I would pray I would be able to stop and help even though others didn’t bother to care. May God helps us be His instruments to help others in need?
