Mobile Office for MAC Users

***The New Citrix client (version 11) will not work with Mobile Office.

***Do not upgrade if you already have version 10

Installing Citrix Client for the first time on a MAC

1.  Open Safari or Firefox (web browser)

2.  Go to http://mobileoffice.dgacm.org/

3.  Download the Citrix client for Mac

4.  Right click on the file and choose open

5.  Click the Citrix ICA Client.pkg then click continue.

6.  Click Continue, then click Agree, to accept the software license agreement

7.  Click Continue, to accept the default installation location.

8.  Click Install.

9.  Enter your Administrative login information.

10.  Once the installation is completed, click Close.

To check that the client is installed. Double click the “Macintosh HD” icon. Then click “Applications” , a folder called “Citrix ICA Client” will contain the client files. You do not have to launch the client, it will be done automatically when you launch Mobile Office.

11.  After installation, go to http://mobileoffice.un.org, enter your UNHQ network login credentials with the SecurID(aka RSA) code.

12.  This screen will always show when using a MAC, ignore the message and click “Already installed”. Mobile Office and other applications will be presented to you.

Already installed the Citrix client version 11?

Version 11,aka Citrix Dazzle, does not work with Mobile Office. There is a problem with the Citrix client version 11 for MACs. It is necessary that the version 11 client be totally remove before install version 10(see installation instruction above for version 10)

If you have installed version 11, follow the steps below to remove it, then follow the steps above to install version 10.

Please do not upgrade to this version without verifying with the OICT Help Desk.

Un-Installing version 11

1.  Open “Macintosh HD” (Note that if you can not see this icon on your MAC desktop, you may have renamed it or chose not to have it show)

2.  Open Applications

3.  Delete Citrix Dazzle (you can drag it to the trash bin)

4.  Delete Citrix online plug-in and DockApplication from the following folder:

·  MAC OSX 10.4 (Tiger): Applications

·  MAC OSX 10.5 (Leopard and Snow Leopard): %Username%/Library/application/Citrix

5.  Navigate to the library folder in Users/home/Library/Preferences (home is the name of your personal Home folder and delete the Citrix ICA client folder and com.Citrix.Citrix_Dazzle.plist file)

6.  Navigate to the /Library/Internet plug-ins folder and delete the CitrixICAclientplugin.plugin file

7.  Navigate to the /Library/PreferencesPanes folder and delete the Citrix online plug-in.prefPane file

8.  For MAC OSX 10.4.11 (Tiger):

·  Click on the Apple icon on the upper left hand corner of the screen,

·  Click System Preferences…

·  Under Other: Click on the Citrix ICA icon, select remove/send to trash

9.  Restart the MAC

10.  Follow the installation instructions above for the version 10 client
