Mobile glass partition, type: Varitrans Metalline
Mobile single-pane glass partition consisting of individually movable panels. Single-pane safety glass, suspension guided in ceiling track rail on two flush-mounted stainless steel point-fixings in the glass.
Locking of glass panel to floor with locking mechanism integrated into point-fixing, which also serves as panel connector. All material is solid stainless steel. No cover plates fitted on the outside will be accepted. The load-bearing point-fixings have their fixtures flush-mounted into the glass on one side; on the back they are mounted through an undercut slot with an internal screw connection. All other necessary functional elements are integrated into the point-fixing or the panel connector.
Connection to floor and ceiling
Clearance to floor: 35 mm for externally-mounted or 15 mm for flush-mounted fittings.
Clearance to ceiling: 40 mm for externally-mounted or 20 mm for flush-mounted fittings.
Panel suspension
The panels are locked to the floor into flush-mounted stainless steel bushings. A locking security mechanism must be installed to prevent unauthorized opening.
The glass fitting and the locking mechanism should be a single functional unit.
Panel locking
Each panel is guided in an aluminium ceiling track rail attwo points and is moved using a maintenance-free multiple roller carrier with ball bearings. Branch points and curves made from aluminium must be equipped with directional panel guiding in connection with the roller carriers in order to guarantee easy movability of the panels even in curved sections of the rail and in the parking area. No ball bearing plates or sliding disks will be accepted. The track rail must be absolutely maintenance-free.
Filler panel
The end panel on each side of the glass partition must be designedas a pivoting filler panel.
Adjustability of the panels
Each panel must be easy to adjust in height in order to compensate a potential slight sagging of the ceiling.

The track rail systems must be absolutely maintenance-free.
R-Track
Crossings, T- and L-points must be equipped with swaged moulded parts with support roller fittings, which guarantee the easy movability of the panels in branch points of the rail and in the parking area. The cross-roller carriers used in conjunction with the R-track must be equipped with track rollers mounted in ball bearings which are quiet-running and maintenance-free.
K-Track
Curves and track switches must be produced from curved extruded profiles made from aluminium.In order to guarantee easy operation when moving the panels, mechanically coded moving systems and a tandem-roller carrier are mandatory.
Fixing the track rail into place
Using adjustable steel suspension constructions, the track rail system must be fixed into place onto on-site, load-bearing structural components (e.g. steel construction, concrete etc.). The suspension constructions must be provided by the bidder. The adjustability must allow compensation of subsequent sagging of the ceiling. No rigid, unadjustable suspension constructions will be accepted.
The materialsused must be provided with anticorrosive coating.
The rail track construction and the suspension used in the partition system to be offered must be "simple structural steelworks" in accordance with DIN 4100 (cf. VOB, German Construction Contract Procedures, Part C, DIN 18 335).
According to Landesbauordnung (state building regulations) the bidder must provide evidence of the welding aptitude test as per DIN 4100 (proof of qualification for welding simple structural steelworks with predominantly static loading).
The supplier of the partition system must have introduced/ be certified in a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001. Evidence of this must be provided with the respective certificate.
