CUSTOMIZING YOUR PHONE

Ringer Control

To adjust the Ringer Volume while the set is ringing:

Press the up and down arrows

To adjust the Ringer Pitch while the set is idle:

  1. Press Superkey
  2. Press # key until "Ringer Adjust?" appears
  3. Press the * key for Yes
  4. Press the * key to adjust the pitch
  5. Press  or 
  6. Press the # key to save
  7. Press the * key to adjust the volume
  8. Press  or 
  9. Press the # key to save
  10. Press Superkeyto exit

Handset/Speaker Volume and Display Contrast Control

  • Press  or 

Feature Keys

To display information about a key:

  1. Press Superkey
  2. Press a personal key
  3. Press Superkeyto exit

MAKING AND ANSWERING CALLS

Make a call

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Dial 9 and the telephone number

Press a Speed Call key

Using the Speakerphone

  • Press the Speaker button

Mute:

  • Press the Mute button

Redial

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Press Redial

Phonebook

  1. Press the Superkey
  2. Press the * key for Yes
  3. Enter the name of the desired party

For each letter, press the appropriate key on the keypad until the letter is shown. Use the * key to correct errors. If the next letter in a name is on the same key, press the # key before proceeding.

  1. Press 0 to lookup the name
  2. Do one of the following:
  • If the name is not unique, press 0 for the next name
  • To make the call, press the * key
  • To edit the entry, press the # key to re-enter a name
  • To exit, press Superkey

Speed Call Keys

To store:

  1. Press Superkey
  2. Press a personal key
  3. Press * to change the personal key
  4. Enter the telephone number(include a 9 for an outside number)
  5. Press the key again to save
  6. If you want the number to be private, press the * key otherwise press the # key
  7. Press Superkey to exit

To dial:

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Press the Speed Call key

CALL HANDLING

Hold

  • Press Hold

To retrieve:

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Press the flashing line key

To retrieve a call on hold at another station:

  1. Lift handset
  2. Dial # 0 and the extension that placed the call on hold

Transfer

  1. Press the Transfer/Conference button
  2. Dial the extension
  3. Do one of the following:
  • To complete the Transfer, hang up
  • Wait for an answer, consult and hang up
  • To cancel transfer, press Cancel

Conference

While on an active call:

  1. Press the Transfer/Conference button
  2. Dial the number of the next party
  3. Wait for an answer
  4. Press the Transfer/Conference button

You may conference up to eight parties including yourself.

USING ADVANCED FEATURES

Call Pickup

To answer a call ringing at another telephone:

  1. Lift the handset
  2. Dial # 7
  3. Dial the number of the ringing station

Advisory Messages

To turn Advisory Messages on:

  1. Press Superkey
  2. Press the #key at Phonebook?
  3. Press the * key for Advisory Messages
  4. Press the # key until the desired message appears
  5. Press the * key to turn the message on

To turn Advisory Messages off:

  1. Press Superkey
  2. Press the # key at Phonebook?
  3. Press the *key for Advisory Messages
  4. Press the * key again to turn the message off

Do Not Disturb

To activate or deactivate Do Not Disturb:

  • Press the Do Not Disturb feature key

Call History

Tracks the telephone numbersof missed calls, answered calls, and outgoing calls.

To display the call history and view call detail:

  • Press the Call History feature key. The total number of missed calls is displayed and the number of new missed calls is indicated with a *.
  • To browse though the list of missed calls, press the * key (Yes), followedby the Upand Downkeysto scroll through the list.
  • To view answeredor outgoing calls press the # key. Use the UP and DOWN keys to scroll through the list of calls.
  • To view the number of the call, press the # key (Options) while the callrecord is displayed. Press* key (Details) to display the time and date. From the number display, press the # key (Next) to display the call time and date.

To return a call:

  1. Display the call you want to return
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. If the call is internal, and the number is known, press the * key (Call).

To delete call logs:

  1. After selecting the type of logs you wish to delete, press the # key (DeleteAll)
  2. Confirm that you do want to delete all items by pressing the * key (Yes)

To delete a particular call from the call log:

  1. With the call log that you want to delete displayed, press the # key (Options)
  2. Press the # key (Delete) to delete the log entry
