Virginia Conference Annual Conference, Roanoke, Virginia - June 15-19, 2011
As part of the ongoing partnership between the Virginia Conference and the Igreja Metodista em Brasil a Brazilian team will travel to Virginia to participate in our annual conference session in Roanoke. The team, composed of thirteen children ages 11-14 and 4 adults, are part of the Brazil Methodist Church’s Shade and Fresh Water program, a national network of centers addressing the needs of at-risk children. The team departs from Brazil on Friday, June 10, arriving at Dulles airport at 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 11. They will visit in northern Virginia and Harrisonburg before arriving in Roanoke for the beginning of the conference session. In order for the children not to miss more than a week of school they will need to return to Brazil on Saturday, June 18.
