President’s Welcome and Introductions

Attendees:

Approve agenda and prior meeting minutes

Minutes approved by acclamation

Treasurer’s reportand proposed 2015 budget

The full 2015 budget was presented to the members.

Motion to approve – Michael Allen, Matt Marcotte 2nd, all approved. Joyce will email out for full approval.

Discussion on reserve / Minimum Chapter Balance

Minimum of $5000 or 125% of annual chapter dues revenue (currently around $4110) whichever is less.

Ask management group to look and make sure we are not saving too much, to make sure we are not in conflict with their non-profit status.

Motion – Matt Marcotte, 2nd Jesse Velez – motion approved by all. Joyce will email out for full approval.

Motions Pass with a quorum

Presentation and discussion on CaFRN meeting July 29-30. Request from the group to ask CalFRN to record the FirstNet consultation meeting.

Nominations and election of Chapter Officers

As listed in our bylaws, President –elect Matthew Marcottewill automatically assume Chapter President.

Shane Steckelberg was nominated to be President-elect

Miguel Guardado was nominated for Secretary/Treasurer

Joyce Starosciak was nominated for State Board Representative for the seat being vacated by Mike Allen.

Nominations will be emailed out for an email vote.

The October meeting will be a transition from the old to the new members. New Executive Committee will take office on January 1, 2016.

Update from State MISAC Board representatives

Mike Allen reported on a number of education events upcoming: Dale Carnegie course, VMWare online, PMP preparation.

Conference is coming October 2-6 in Monterey. State Board is looking at cleaning up the bylaws
