Matters Arising from the Minutes

4 / President’s Report
  • PCA Nationals were held in Adelaide, congrats to all those who represented.
  • Thanks to CLPC for hosting Zone Showriding and Sporting.
  • Thanks to all who helped at State Mounted Games.
  • The Zone 16 raffle has over $2000 in prizes donated, thanks to all the companies that donated.
  • Zone 16 Outstanding Service Awards and life nominations are due 4th December.
  • All clubs need to respond to Katherine about the club event dates for next year or they will miss out.

5 / Zone Chief Instructor’s Report –
  • Many riders representing Zone 16 at Nationals – Zone riders placed in Junior Mounted Games, Senior Mounted Games, Junior Eventing, Senior Dressage. Riders participated in the Tetrathlon and had a great time. May be able to run one in Canberra by using lasers instead of shooting pistols.
  • State Mounted Games was a fantastic event for the Zone with great feedback. Our Zone 16 teams went well.
  • Three of our Zone 16 riders went to the ODE in Mudgee and went well. .
  • Several riders are heading to State Camp. Riders need to be at a State level in their discipline to apply, but State do have a Horsemanship discipline they can apply for.
  • An NCAS course and assessment will be planned in 2016.
  • Zone Camp will be held 10th-16th April 2016. Forms coming out shortly. Planning to include horseball, equestrian gymnastics, lots of new instructors.
  • WWC info must be up to date at all clubs. This will be mandatory for camp so MUST be sorted out.

11 / Publicity Officer’s Report
  • Calendar will be updated for 2016.
  • A second web administrator will be needed for 2016.

12 / Equipment Officer’s Report (Mark Thorek) -
  • Gear needs to be returned from the showjumping.
  • PA system is not working. A new PA system may be purchased, currently looking into prices.
  • Several radios aren’t working, looking into purchasing 10 more.
  • The old showjump wings that are really heavy will be sold for $60 a set.
  • Bungendore showgrounds will be upgrading some of their buildings.
  • The shippings containers have all been moved and put together. A new shed for jump trailers will be built in next to them.
  • The B&S Ball last weekend was well represented by Zone.
  • There will be new Trust Members for 2016.

14 / General Business
  • Draft calendar is out, some clubs are still yet to put forward their dates.
  • Clubs should check the grading procedure for grading SJ on the Zone website.
  • Clubs should let all members know when State Events are on by forwarding emails when sent out. Please ensure all forms are complete and have all signatures before sending in. Payments go to Zone 16, not State.
  • 2016 State Championships will be 9-17 April at Quirindi and 1-10 July at Camden
  • CLPC are running an unmounted ODE, may be holding it as an open event. If clubs are interested they can contact Clare Edsor.
  • All clubs for supper in December for AGM on the 16th. All delegates should attend.
  • A Zone Administration night will be held in February.
