Review action items:

a)Done, will recap during the meeting

b)Done, email sent

c)On the agenda

d)Done, email sent

WS-Context status:

Requested ballot for committee draft, but not done yet. Eric suggests forwarding the link about the IndianaUniversity implementation of WS-Context as further evidence the spec is ready.

Issues on CF:

Kevin motions adoption of 276, adopt the schema and have editors check the text for consistency. Change the schema for the registration context so that the participant grouping reflects the protocols as defined in message 32 included in the agenda, and for the editors to check the documentation in WS-CF to make sure everything is consistent.

Eric seconds.

No objections, motion passed.

Kevin motions adoption of 280, include protocol information in the replaceParticipant message

Greg seconds.

Doug asks whether this is pertinent only to fringe use cases, how much are multiple protocols used within a single context? Is this an addition that takes our support of multiple protocols and improves it in a kind of fringe way.

Martin says this is more about consistency since it’s already on the add and remove.

Greg mentions the distinction between cache managers and full app server implementations that need to register for all protocols or a subset.

No objections, motion passed.

Kevin motions adoption of 281, include protocol information in the getparticipant message so that the response can be tailored to specific protocols.

Greg seconds.

No objections, motion passed.

Editors to incorporate changes from these issues, seem to be the last ones for CF.

ACID issues next.

Asynch processing for ACID. Greg proposes to close with no action after further reflection. Action originally came from discussion at Redwood Shores F2F.

Eric seconds.

No objections, so moved [Martin needs to link in minutes reference for where this issue first came up.]

Issue 273.

Greg moves to adopt the proposal as it stands.

Eric seconds.

Kevin asks whether this could also be done in a WSDL binding operation, and the answer is that it could but the use of policy is consistent with industry practice here.

No objections, motion passes.

Martin: Would be good to get a CF draft out soon.

Action: Editors to update CF spec ahead of the next call.
