IPPLEPEN Application 11/02104/FUL - Estelle Smith

Four bay garage with ancillary storage area within roofspace at Crokers Farm, Conniford Lane for Mr.M.Tewson

Comment: Ipplepen Parish Council have no objection in principle providing it is reserved for domestic and farm vehicles and storage only, and that the use is ancillary to the main dwelling.

Other Items Discussed:-

Application 11/02032/CLDE for a Lawful Development Certificate for an existing use or operation. For Mr. & Mrs.D.Thomas, Poole Farm, Orley Rd, Torbryan

It was agreed that the following two letters would be sent to TDC:

Letter 1

Ref: 11/02032/CLDE – Poole Farm, Orley Rd, Torbryan

It is the understanding of members of the Ipplepen Parish Council Plans Committee, that the commercial business that operated from Poole Farm ceased in 2002 following the foot and mouth outbreak of 2001.

At that time, it was the understanding of the Plans Committee that the entire operation moved out of the area (possibly to Mortenhampstead or Chagford) and that the Poole Farm site was sold for domestic dwellings.

We believe that this constitutes a break in operation at the Poole Farm site, though the trading name was retained by the Company working from Mortenhampstead.

Letter 2

Ref: 11/02032/CLDE – Poole Farm, Orley Rd, Torbryan

Section 10 of the application has not been completed correctly.

“Information in support of a Lawful Development Certificate”

1)No exact date has been given as specifically asked for on the form.

2)The section regarding business interruption has not been com pleted. We believe there has been a break in operation as detailed in our additional letter

3)Has there been a material change of use ? This has not been filled in, but yes there has, to a domestic dwelling.
