5.1 RCMP – Sergeant Diln – Report

General Discussion:

Sergeant Diln:

- reported the statistical information comparisons for our area.

- explained that the local detachment is down in manpower at this time.

- speed limits at playgrounds are Provincial jurisdiction.

- speed limit at schools are Municipal jurisdiction.

- Sergeant Diln advised that the present stop signs remain where they are presently posted, ensuring safety for all.

- informed Council that he is available to attend Council Meetings

periodically when asked, and possibly set up a meeting for January 2014.

7.1 Ukrainian Catholic Church AND Stop Signs Removal and Replacement

Discussion:

- Ukrainian Catholic Church was donated to the Village.

- should apply for historical status.

- will bring back at another meeting.

Stop signs – will be left at their present posting as per Sergeant Diln`s recommendations.

7.2 Protocol for Grant Applications from Organizations

Discussion:

2013-11-25 MOVED by Councillor Kolosky that Council approve the change in committee members to appoint Councillor Kolosky as member to FCSS and Deputy Mayor Joice as member to The Central Peace Emergency Management Agency.
