Minute 1:

Apologies:The Chairman received apologies from Mr Terry Priest, Mr David Ford and Mr Pete Boulton

Minute 2:

The Chairman reported that the funeral for Mr Mike Hennessey was well attended. The Standards Bearers from the Colchester & East Anglia Branch, Herts and Essex Branch and the local British Legion attended the funeral.

Minute 3:

The Chairman attended the Trustee’s & the CENCO meeting at SouthwickPark with Mr Terry Priest in September.Once the minutes have been produced from the Trustee meeting the agenda items will be discussed with the Branch members

Minute 4

The Chairman reminded the members that the Annual dinner on 11th October at St Giles Church hall with 75 members and guests, he stated that there will be unit members on various tables and that Branch members were to ensure that the unit members were looked after and made welcome.

Minute5:

The Chairman informed the Branch members that there were no tickets left for the Remembrance show at the Royal Albert Hall on the 8th November 2014. The chairman stated that the transport would leave Goojerat Bks at 0900 hrs for the Memorial service at field of remembrance in Westminster Abbey memorial garden for 1200hrs then leave at 1230 hrs for the Albert Hall. Members attending the service and the show were advised to bring along a packed lunch, as there will be not time for a meal.

Minute 6:

The Chairman advised the Branch the quiz night for Havens Childrens Hospice for November has been postponed until April 2015. The Chairman announced that the Branch would now be holding a Fish & Chip night with a small quiz instead. The cost for the Fish & Chips will still be £5 per person. Members and guests attending are to let the Chairman know by Sunday 2nd November at the latest

Minute 7:

The Treasurer apologised to the members as he left the copies of the account spreadsheets at home. He did inform the Branch members that the current balances in the Branch’s accounts stood as follows

Treasurers Account: £3744.60

Charity Account: £255.54

Minute 8:

The President congratulated the OC156 Pro Coy RMP Maj Dean Cresswell with the move to the new RMP Command structure and for the move of the Branch meetings to the MCTC to be part of the Provost Family.

Minute 9:

The Unit member SGT Jonjo Blain updated members of the Branch stating that 2pl are swapping police duties for a trip to Kenya for 6 weeks and that 1pl are commencing police duties and are continuing to support Essex Police on Operation Echo.
