Minutes of the Meeting of Clint cum Hamlets Parish Council held in the Community Centre,
Burnt Yates on Wednesday 11th November2015
1. Present: / Cllrs Whitehead, Scott, Parker, Walmsley, J Jennings (Clerk) + 1 Resident2. Apologies:
Cllr Whitehead welcomed all for attending
3. The minutes of the meeting held on 10th September 2015, having being previously circulated, were signed
as a true record
4. Matters Arising: / Actions
a. Flagpole / Flagpole had arrived. The Clerk read a quote for it to be erected. It was felt it was a little expensive and Cllr Parker and Walmsley were going to look at the job and report back to the Clerk. / RP/AW
b. Website / Clerk in talks with Mr Hunt to action this / Clerk
c. New benche / Bench has arrived. The Clerk read a quote and it was felt it was a little expensive. Another quote had been received only that day and it was agreed the Clerk action this one / Clerk
d. Commuted Sums / HBC have refused access to money
e. Tree – Cricket field / No reply from HBC – Clerk to give a number to Cllr Whitehead
f. Channel on Clint Bank / Cllr Parker reported that the channel had been filled
g. Drains blocked / It would appear that this has been rectified

a. 2016/17 Precept / It was agreed to keep it the same as previous years / Clerk
b. Planning Enforcement / A letter had been received from HBC – ongoing
9. Items for Discussion
a. Removal of the 106 / Cllr Scott said she had not received any further information of the removal of the 106 Agreement. Cllr Walmsley said he was against the 106 being lifted, Mr Swaffield fought hard to gain it. Cllr Whitehead said the Governors of the Community Centre were concerned about the parking spaces and the moving of the electric meter – on going
b. Railings / Cllr Walmsley had been approached by parents of the school requesting railings to be erected at the end of the pedestrian entrance out of the car park, there had been a recent incident of a child rushing towards to the road. / Clerk
c. Elections / It was with great sadness that Cllr Walmsley said he would not be standing for Councilor in the next elections. He had completed nearly 20 years and felt it was time to stand down.
d. Playground inspection / Cllr Whitehead said the annual inspection had been carried out. 3 things plastic caps missing – Cllr Whitehead had ordered these and replaced the missing ones. The posts seemed to be loose – Cllr Whitehead to ask John Hanslow to look at these and the gate needed to be painted a different colour – Cllr Whitehead to do this in the Spring. / Cllr Whitehead
e. / Cllr Whitehead said it had been a successful bonfire and superb firework display
g. / Cllr Scott stated her concerns about the pot holes this side of the bridge before Ripley on the B6165 and in front of David Listers farm on the way to Birstwith. / Clerk
10. Any comments from the floor / Mrs Swaffield reported that the strimmer which Mr Swaffield used to keep the grass verge neat and tidy had finally given up! They had had it repaired a couple of times and now the parts were not available. It was agreed that Mr Swaffield should source another strimmer and get a price. / Mr Swaffield
There being no further business the meeting closed.
