Call to order - 10:10 Director Gary James welcomed members to the meeting

Agenda approved M/S/C

Executive Members absent; - Ifan, Terry, Tom Samier and Ingrid

New Members- one new member, Ron Symes, has ten years in traffic enforcement and now has a rider training school. He is riding his second Ultra and also belongs to the Vancouver chapter.

Financials - It looks like the Summer Sizzle will do quite well in spite of lower than expected registrations. Congratulations to all from Ingrid and Barnes Harley- Davidson®.

Membership as of June 30th - 167

Wednesday night ride time has changed to 7:00 p.m.

Good of the Order

Roy Mayes - surgery successful and Roy attended the meeting. A card for Roy was circulated for everyone to sign.

Susan Cashen, Kamloops - card circulated for signatures

Karlene Schmidt - critical and on life support in the University Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. Those who wish to send greetings should contact Theresa or Kim who will forward them to Karlene’s family.

Out of Province/Country medical insurance - Do not leave the province or country without it.

Reports:

Dan Hutchinson, Service Manager - new designs in motor clothes have arrived. Parts special - semi-synthetic oil on for the same price as regular oil. Service - re: outstanding brake switch recall - see Dan if you think your bike may qualify.

2012 voltage regulator product update - check with Dan.

Dan promises to bring sunshine back from Vegas!

Road Captains –

Greg’s Ride: - signup sheet circulating. July 7th - Lake Samish and Lake Whatcom - Leaving from the duty free at the truck crossing at 9:00. Will stop at rest stops for coffee. The Mt. Baker chapter serves at the Bow Hill rest area. We should consider doing something like this.

Today’s ride also led by Greg - if you want to visit the grocery store and go home!

Larry’sSkagit River Ride is moved to Sunday July 15th. Some will connect southof the border. Be sure to include email address and phone number on the sign up sheet.

Andrew’s ride to Leavenworth ,Saturday and Sunday, July 21 & 22. Camping or Hotel optional.

Ride into History- July 27th - 29th. The ride bumps into our August General Meeting.

Literacy Ride - Tri-Cities - September 12 Starts @ 8:00 a.m. 202 Oxford Connector,PoCo.

Summer Sizzle - successful silent auction. Thanks to all

ABC’s of Touring. - This time the work is “SWITCHBACK”. Greg explained the rules which can be found on the H. O. G. Canada website.

Hog Store - Samier unable to attend today but will be at Barnes on Sunday, July 8th from 10:00 to noon when the H.O.G. store will be open.

Activities - Juanita - Juanita is planning on retirement at the end of this year.. Samier may help. It is a two person job so get involved and help out.

September events: - horse race evening,

Princeton ride - BBQ and breakfast. You need to help cook and clean up. Bring your own steak. Most people drive. Further details later.

Activities.Decisions need to be made regarding:-

-continuing Summer Sizzle

-involvement in the bike show at Tradex next year

-Hosting the Regional Hog Rally in 2014

It takes a lot of volunteers to organize all of these activities. The same people can’t organize all of them so let’s share the work.
