OPEN GARDENS / Peter has kindly offered to run with Open Gardens for 2017 and has produced an initial advert and booking forms for the Dispatch. / Peter/Sarah
FLOWER AND PRODUCE SHOW / This year the classes for each section will be reduced to hopefully encourage more people to enter. People must submit an entry form by the previous Saturday. The timetable will be published in the May and June editions of the Dispatch. The Sections and Classes will be as follows, with sections for Adults and Children under 16 in each:
SECTION A VEGETABLES
Potatoes x 3
Beetroot x 3
Carrots x 3
Onions x 3
Courgetts x 3
Mixed basket/tray of vegetables x 5
Mixed or single basket/tray of fruit x 5
Mixed herb basket
Best mis-shapen vegetable x 1

Potted flowering house plant
SECTION C COOKERY
Traditional victoria sponge
6 decorated cup cakes
6 gingerbread men
SECTION D FLORAL ART
Miniature garden in a tray
Floral arrangement in a cup and saucer
SECTION E PHOTOGRAPHY
Garden wildlife x 1 photo per entry

Entries will be from 9.30-11am on Saturday 15th July
Judging will be from 1130-2pm
Public Viewing from 2-4pm

ALLOTMENT COMPETETION / The theme will continue with ‘Best Kept’ Allotment, winners of both sites will be given a free year’s rent for 2018. / Sarah to arrange judges
ADVERTISING / Graham and Sarah will continue to work on advertising. Peter has already produced an article for the Dispatch for Open Gardens / Graham/Sarah
