1. Corporate Parenting: Values Governing Our Work with LAC and Strategic Objectives
Maureen Phillips, Head of Service
John Richards, Maureen Phillips and Derek Hills will meet to develop a work programme for the Corporate Parenting Group.
Action: John Richards and Maureen Phillips
All members of the Corporate Parenting Group to undertake CRB clearance.
Action: Jenny Lee
It was noted that Corporate Parenting Group will receive reports on new legislative developments in relation to corporate parenting. Members noted that there is a need to consider the education of LAC as well as their welfare.
Members requested that the Corporate Parenting Group present an annual report to the full County Council.
Members requested that the placement of LAC be considered at a future meeting.

The Corporate Parenting Group endorsed the values and strategic objectives.
2. Fostering Service Annual Report 2004/05
Karen Devereux, Head of Fostering Service
Members requested that CSF figures regarding allocated cases to be presented to the Corporate Parenting Group on a regular basis.
Action: John Richards and Maureen Phillips
The Corporate Parenting Group accepted the Fostering Service Annual Report 2004/05 and noted it’s contents.
3. Adoption Agency Annual Report 2004/05
Maureen Phillips, Head of Service
It was agreed that the Corporate Parenting Group will receive a report on the Adoption Support Arrangements.

The Corporate Parenting Group accepted the Adoption Agency Annual Report 2004/05 and noted it’s contents.
4. Any Other Business
Visits to Children’s Homes
A report on Members visits to Children’s Homes will be presented to the Corporate Parenting Group with the Annual Report for Residential Homes.
