MINUTES OF THE AGM MEETING OF MELBURY ABBAS AND CANN GROUP PARISH COUNCIL
HELD ON 10th May 2016

2016.2 APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN
Cllr Hughes advised that as he was moving from the area he would not be standing again for the position of Chair. He proposed Cllr. Kenealy, seconded Cllr Parker. All in agreement.
2016.3 APPOINTMENT OF VICE CHAIRMAN
Cllr Mitchell proposed Cllr Webber. Seconded Cllr. Gill. All in agreement.
2016.4 APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE COMMITTEE
Cllrs Kenealy, Markham, Webber. Proposed Cllr. Parker, seconded
Cllr Sturgess. All in agreement.
2016.5 APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Cllrs Mitchell and Weston proposed. All in agreement.
2016.6 OTHER APPOINTMENTS
Road Advisory Committee - Cllrs. Hughes, Kenealy, Mitchell.
Guys Marsh - Cllr Parker
Footpaths and Trees - Cllrs. Weston and Markham.
DAPTC Committee - Cllrs Webber and Kenealy.
Shaftesbury Taking Forward Growth - Cllr Markham.
Airfield - Cllrs. Mitchell and Sturgess.
Village Hall and Millenium Group - Cllr Parker.
2016.7 CHAIRMAN'S REPORT 15/16
The outgoing Chairman outlined the activities of the previous year and the challenges going forward. (see written report). Cllr Mitchell on behalf
of the Council thanked Cllr. Hughes for all his work as Chair of the Council
over the last few years.
2016.8 FINANCE REPORT
The end of year accounts had been circulated earlier for consideration.
Proposed approval Cllr Webber , Seconded Cllr Hughes. Unanimous
The Annual Governance Statement had also been previously circulated.

Risk Assessments for Bus Shelters, Risk Assessment and Financial Management,
Internal Auditor, Capital Assets were circulated earlier for consideration. Proposed Cllr Webber,
Seconded Cllr Hughes
Cllr Parker to inspect the bus shelter at Guys Marsh as to its current state.
Risk assessments now needed for the telephone kiosk and the gas beacon burner. The burner to be stored at the Village Hall.
