Minutes of the 5° Wp2 meeting – 25 October 2016, virtual meeting

The following Agenda was scheduled for the meeting :
1) General updates on activities
2) Discussion of the Rome meeting agenda
3) Status of the legal report
For each Agenda item the following major points were discussed and related decisions were taken :
1) General updates on activities
Monica recapped the conclusions of the previous meeting and Donato explained the content of the documents uploaded in the working area section of the wiki in the last weeks.
Ingegerd said that they overcame some legal issues but still have some pending.
Jacek said that they have the permit to do experimentations with web scraping but without new legislation on the topic they cannot use results and techniques in a production environment.
Matthew reported that they are doing web scraping activities on a small scale for now and don’t have legal issues to solve on a small scale but they do have on a massive scale.
Galya said that they don’t have legal issues to solve, they also want to present their own web scraping software solution at the WP1/WP2 joint meeting and are interested in studying the Italian web scraper software.
2) Discussion of the Rome meeting agenda
Monica presented the proposed agenda and Jacek asked for a time slot on the second day in order to present their software solution. Monica will revise the agenda and will circulate the updated version.
3) Status of the legal report
Jacek said that by the first half of November their part of the document will be ready.
Matthew will add the UK part just before the WP1/WP2 face to face meeting.
