Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Pro-Tem Carl Burns
Mayor Pro-Tem Carl Burns called for a motion to approve the consent agenda. Alderman Diane Reuter made a motion to approve the consent agenda. The motion was seconded by Alderman Jesse Knowles. Ayes: Alderman Carl Burns, Alderman Jesse Knowles, Alderman Nancy Jones, Alderman Diane Reuter. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Economic Developer John Tracy talk to Council about the different companies he has been in contact with. He would like to have a work shop with Council in the future regarding what type of incentives and or financial low interest loans the City might be able to offer for the smaller businesses that offer retail sales.
Staff Report and the Police Report were reviewed no questions for either.
City Clerk Donna Tracy asks Council if they would consider moving the Council meetings in the month of October. After much discussion it was determined the Council would hold their meetings in October on the 9th and the 22nd.
City Clerk Donna Tracy asks Mayor Pro-Tem and Council to readopt annual financial disclosure ordinance. This is bill number 2181 Ordinance number 9-11-14. An Ordinance of the City of Unionville, Missouri, to establish A Procedure to disclose potential conflicts and substantial interests for certain municipal officials and repealing ordinance number 9-11-14 Alderman Jesse Knowles made a motion to pass bill number 2181 Ordinance 9-11-14 with the first reading. The motion was seconded by Alderman Diane Reuter. Ayes: Alderman Carl Burns, Alderman Jesse Knowles, Alderman Nancy Jones, Alderman Diane Reuter. Nays none: Motion carries. City Clerk Donna Tracy read the first reading out loud.

City Clerk Donna Tracy asks Mayor Pro Tem and Council to pass a Resolution for new signatures for Farmers Bank for the Protested Taxes Escrow Account number 2128977. Alderman Jesse Knowles made a motion to pass a Resolution for new signatures for Farmers Bank and wave the readings. The motion was seconded by Alderman Nancy Jones. Ayes: Alderman Carl Burns,Alderman Jesse Knowles, Alderman Nancy Jones, Alderman Dianne Reuter. Nays: none. Motion carried.
City Administrator John Roach spoke to Council about ordinance the City might want to look into on rules and regulations with Car Ports and R V Ports variances with the planning and zoning board.
City Administrator John Roach asks Council what they were thinking of doing for the employee Christmas Party. After much discussion, and idea each one had it was determine to ask the employees what they want to do for the Christmas Party. They would like the office staff to send out a questioner with four different choices. (1) Marina with a white elephant gift exchange (2) City Hall and Pizza Party (3) Steak House in Centerville (4) County Club with a meal brought in. As always everyone gets a ham or turkey their choice, with awards given out for the five, ten, fifteen, and twenty years of service.
It was ask if John Roach and Rick Smith could look at Janice Doolin’s House on 315 N 17th to see if there was anything the City could do to help it drain better. Also it was reminded to everyone if someone who lives in the City wants a back flow value the City will buy the value and the customer will have to pay to put it in.
The School has asked Council if it would be ok if they shoot off fireworks at Homecoming on October 10, 2014 at the football game. Aldermen Jessie Knowles made a motion to let the school shoot off fireworks at the football game. The motion was seconded by Alderman Diane Reuter. Ayes: Alderman Carl Burns, Alderman Nancy Jones, Alderman Diane Reuter, Alderman Jesse Knowles. Nays: none. Motion carried.
City Administrator John Roach ask Council if it would be ok for the Putnam County Historical Society could closed down the block from Grant to Union on sixteen street from four to seven in the evening. So on September 20, 2014they can have a re-enactment of the Civil War. Alderman Nancy Jones made a motion to let the Historical Society closed down the street. The motion was seconded by Alderman Jesse Knowles. Ayes: Alderman Carl Burns, Alderman Nancy Jones, Alderman Diane Reuter, Alderman Jesse Knowles. Nays: none. Motion carried.
Mayor Pro-Tem Carl Burns asks if there was any old business. One thing that came up was how is Joel Pratt coming along with his building and will the giant hole be filled in before winter. Council also thought maybe they could budget next year to replace chunks of sidewalks instead of sealant in the cracks.
