ITEM NO. 2.

LOCAL ELECTIONS (DISCLOSURE OF DONATIONS AND EXPENDITURE) ACT, 1999.

Mr. J. Condon, Meetings Administrator, reminded the Elected Members that the Annual Return in respect of Local Elections (Disclosure of Donations and Expenditure) Act, 1999, had to be completed and returned by 31st January, 2014, and that there were serious consequences for not making this Declaration.

ITEM NO. 3.

ETHICS FRAMEWORK FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES.

Mr. J. Condon, Meetings Administrator, informed the Members that the Annual Declaration Forms which had been issued to them as required by the Ethics Framework for Local Authorities contained in the Local Government Act, 2001, had

to be completed and returned by 28th February, 2014.

ITEM NO. 4.

TO CONSIDER REPORT ON DAMAGE RESULTING FROM RECENT EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS.

Mr. M. Keating, A/Dir. of Services, gave a Presentation to the Council on the damage resulting from recent extreme weather events.

A discussion ensued.

Mr. Keating replied to various queries raised by the Members.

ITEM NO. 5.

TO CONSIDER THE MANAGER’S REPORT AND THE DRAFT POLICYON COMMUNITY BENEFIT CONTRIBUTIONS REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS.

It was agreed to defer this Item to the February Meeting of the Council.

ITEM NO. 6.

TO MAKE AN ORDER TO DECLARE THE ROADS ON ATTACHED SCHEDULE TO BE PUBLIC ROADS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 11 OF THE ROADS ACT, 1993.

It was agreed to defer this Item to the February Meeting of the Council.

TO NOTE MINUTES OF BALLINA ELECTORAL AREA COMMITTEE MEETINGS HELD ON 10th JULY, 2013 AND 11th SEPTEMBER, 2013.

TO NOTE MINUTES OF SWINFORD ELECTORAL AREA COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 19th NOVEMBER, 2013.

TO CONSIDER NOMINATING REPRESENTATIVES TO ATTEND SEMINAR – “LOCAL GOVERNMENT BILL 2013” – TO BE HELD IN THE MANOR WEST HOTEL, TRALEE, CO. KERRY, ON 17th AND 18th JANUARY, 2014.
