RESOLVED: To receive and accept apologies for absence from Cllr Baughn (work commitments)

RESOLVED:To accept and sign the minutes of 2/8/16 as a true record.

  1. Clerk’s Report

To receive a report from the Clerk on matters dealt with and taking forward.

  • Fireworks Event request from resident and reply given by Clerk
  • Bench Provision across the parish – social media request on info for benches
  • Lighting in main square – this and disabled parking bays to be looked at

Chairman to suspend Standing Orders (adjourn meeting) to enable questions from the public and any reports from councillors.

  1. Fairford Leys Dog Show – 8th July, 2017

To discuss any arrangements and management of the show

RESOLVED: Cllr Eastwood will await information from Emily Ladyman on the arrangements for the dog show in 2017 and whether this is to proceed.

  1. Fair in the Square– 8th July, 2017

To discuss anyarrangements for this event.

RESOLVED: The arrangements are to take the format of previous years and the concert band, bar etc. have been booked. Stallholders will be contacted as per previous procedure.

  1. Music in the Square Event – 9th September, 2017

To discuss any arrangements for thisevent.

RESOLVED: PRS and PPL Licences will be required, staging lorry has been booked, food stalls being investigated and booked, Clerk to inform Dan Blase of the charity agreed by committee (Lacy Pearl Foundation) and Cllr Baughan to liaise with Dan on suitable promotion material from the charity.

  1. Remembrance Sunday Service – 13th November, 2016.

To discuss the arrangements for this event.

All arrangements in place as per previous years’ programme.

Andy Barnett will put together programme and liaise with Minister.

RESOLVED: That the Risk Assessment Document be approved

Craft stalls arranged£15 per charge for each stall (income)

Marquee booked and deposit paid£1,468.10 (total cost)

Concert Band£250 + £40 for Quartet

Military Wives ChoirNo charge

The father Christmas Grotto will be part of the Marquee

WI to provide mulled wine

Xmas parade, fire pits, lighting, trees etc. to be arranged by Steve Webb and team

Hot Chestnut stall

There being no further business of the Committee, the Chairman closed the meeting at 6.49pm
