4.  DISTRICT COUNCILLORS REPORT

This was read out to the meeting and available

CC S Askew reported that although a meeting has taken place with Highways England regarding signs on the A11 there is still no date for when these will be in place.

a)  Mr C Burnard – (3PL/2017/0800) No objections but concerns over limited parking already behind PH. Access onto School Lane also. Should not be holiday lets but long term lets for local residents.

b)  Mauleys Farm – (3PL/2017/0491/O) Although an effort is shown to take into account parking issues this road is still a single lane at this point with cars parked on O/S

c)  Taylors Drift – (3PL/2017/0083) No objections

9.  HALF PIPE SKATE RAMP AT RECREATION GROUND

Small ramp has now been removed. Half pipe ramp would cost approx. £2,500 to bring up to good standard. Clerk to arrange a meeting with Sports Park Committee to gauge a start date for their project. Clerk to speak to Came & Co to confirm if PC covered if work not completed ASAP. Cllr Forder to investigate Skate Bowls. Clerk to contact Play Safety to ask about installing of Skate Bowls.

10.  NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL PARISH PARTNERSHIP SCHEME

Clerk to look at SAM machines and return to the matter in October

All Councillors received a copy expect for those absent.

12.  INFESTATION OF CHAFER GRUBS AT RECREATION GROUND

Parish Council to grant £2,500 for the payment of treatment. All ongoing treatments to be covered by the Recreation Users Committee and the grounds users.

13.  CORRESPONDANCE RECEIVED

a)  Concerns over who Flagship are allowing to rent properties in the village

b)  Slow Down in our Village stickers - £1 per A3 – Clerk to order

c)  Bridgham Road Closed July to Nov

d)  Plans for White Post Wood Bridgham

e)  Neighbourhood watch scheme set up in White Hart Street area

f)  Revised street naming policy

g)  Thank you letter from RUA for new car park

a)  When will BT phone box be removed?

b)  Ipswich Skate Park have a new small park

15.  ANY OTHER BUSINESS

a)  Village Sign has For Sale Signs attached to it, can these be removed

b)  Have we had tree report yet? Yes and quote being prepared by Anglian Tree Solutions

c)  Recreation Ground Hedges have been cut by Tunmores

d)  Lopham Road crossways – Saplings on left need replacing

e)  Cllr Denniss gave her apologies for August meeting
