April 2015 Meeting Minutes

Meeting Called to order at 8:03 pm

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved.

DC Information: All coaches and trainers must be approved by the board and submit all paperwork to board. If your trainers/assistant coaches have not been approved, then they don’t belong on the fields.

Nominations: All nominations for Board Positons must be emailed to Denise Klein.

You are able to add players until May 10th. If you are in a tournament, please reschedule your games asap.

DSC Apparel: Please get orders to Rob Smith asap.

Equipment: There was a suggestion made to supply each team with a startup kit for the fall season to consist of: balls, cones and pinnies.

Treasury Report: Currently is the bank we have $27,000. Reports are available for anyone to review.

Committee to Research New Fields: Lease/Purchase..As suggestion has been made to form a committee to research for lease/purchase additional fields in Delran. The committee would do the research and also pursue town council for help as well…. Current Members are Mike Otto and CJ Seemuller

Snack Bar: The snack bar will be run again by Patrick Stewart. It was be open for the PDP program on Saturday mornings… Please be sure if your team is scheduled for the snack bar you or a parent are their to man it…

Fields : SJGSL mandated the DSC to have (2) 8v8 fields. Since the township would not let us use Deutsch field, we have created a second 8v8 field at Vermes. This is a game field and no one should practice on it. Fields are in great shape. Mike Kiafas will start to research portable benches that we can use during games. More information to follow. We will also look into the getting recycle cans next to each bench .

PDP Program: PDP program is going well. Possible makeup day would be a Sunday. More information to follow… Need more coaches from the club to come out and help..High school players doing a great job.

Try Outs: Tryouts will be helds – April 25 and 26 and May 2 and 3 at DIS. The signs will be put out by April 11. Anyone trying out must be registered . Please use the Delran Soccer Club to register for tryouts. They will begin at 8:00 am.. Each tryout will be an 1 hour and 15 minutes long. Older teams will begin in the am followed by the younger teams. The U-9 tryout will be moved to another date due to first holy communion. Mike Weaver will follow up with his team regarding that date.

Schedule of Fines: Coaches, Board Members, and ALL others associated with the Delran Soccer Club will be fined if meetings are not attended.

Union Tickets: Sean and Rob did a raffle for the first game.. Next two games accounted for. August 29th will be the tailgate party at the Union. We will do a raffle for the kids to be on field. More information to follow. 10 games left to sell---Matt Myers will purchase a game, Mike Kiafas will also purchase a game and Allan Croly will purchase game (Gunners).
