Ms. Linda Henley made a motion to approve the minutes of the July 20, 2015, Regular Meeting of the City Planning Commission. Ms. Rebecca Livengood seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously with Ms. Christine Capella-Peters abstaining due to absence.

Ms. Linda Henley made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 10, 2015, Regular Meeting of the City Planning Commission. Ms. Rebecca Livengood seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously with Mr. Steve Kulick abstaining due to absence.

Mr. Preston Harris, with Allied Sign Company at 720 Erie Boulevard West, spoke to the Commission about the proposal, which includes modifying the signage for a Special Permit for a Restaurant on property situated at 2743 Erie Boulevard East.

No one spoke in favor of or in opposition to the proposal.

After further discussion and review, Ms. Rebecca Livengood made a motion to approve the request with a negative SEQRA declaration and granting a waiver from the sign requirements for the wall signs only. Ms. Linda Henley seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Neither the applicant nor a designated representative appeared before the City Planning Commission to present the proposal, which consists of establishing a Restaurant on property situated at 847-849 North Salina Street.

The Commission agreed to continue the Public Hearing at its next regularly-scheduled meeting on September 21, 2015, to afford the applicant another opportunity to present the proposal.

One person spoke in favor of the proposal. Two people spoke in opposition to the proposal.

After further discussion and review, Ms. Christine Capella-Peters made a motion to approve the request with a negative SEQRA declaration, and granting six waivers from the City of Syracuse Zoning Rules and Regulations, as amended with respect to the parking, driveway spacing, curbing, street line treatment area, and the arterial setback and lot width requirements.Ms. Rebecca Livengood seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

After further discussion and review, Ms. Linda Henley made a motion to approve the request with a negative SEQRA declaration and granting one waiver from the City of Syracuse Zoning Rules and Regulations, as amended, with respect to the parking requirements. Ms. Rebecca Livengood seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
