Mayor B. Smith called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.

A.4.EXPLANATION OF THE PUBLIC HEARING PROCESS
Mayor B. Smith explained the public hearing process.
A.5.CALL FOR PERSONS TO SPEAK
D.H. Edey, City Clerk, stated if there were any persons present to speak to the passing of the following bylaws, they would now be heard:
L.BYLAWS
L.1.a.Bylaw 12143 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from AG (Agricultural) District to DC5 (Site Specific Development Control) District; Located North of 160 Avenue and West of 82 Street, Belle Rive.
PURPOSE
To amend the Land Use Bylaw, as it applies to this site, from AG to DC5. The proposed DC5 District is based upon the CNC District, but is limited to the following uses: Child Care Services, Commercial Schools, General Retail Stores, Health Services, Indoor Participant Recreation Services, Minor Eating and Drinking Establishments, Minor Veterinary Services, Personal Service Shops, Professional, Financial and Office Support Services, and Residential Sales Centre.
J. Andrew was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw 12143.
L.1.b.Bylaw 12144 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from AG (Agricultural) District to RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District; Located South of 167 Avenue and East of 77 Street, Mayliewan.
PURPOSE
To allow the development of single detached residential housing.
J. Andrew was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw 12144.
L.1.c.Bylaw 12145 – To Close a Portion of the 156 Street Government Road Allowance, Adjoining the East Boundary of NE Section 3-52-25-W4M, Located East of Riverbend Road and South of Falconer Road, Falconer Heights.
PURPOSE
To close a portion of the 156 Street Government Road Allowance. Once closed, the area will be developed as a walkway.
E. Malo, representing St. Thomas More Church, was in attendance to speak in opposition to the passing of Bylaw 12145.

Councillor M. Phair left the meeting at 1:55 p.m. and re-entered a few minutes later.

Councillors W. Kinsella and B. Mason left the meeting at 2:35 p.m. and re-entered a few minutes later.
Mayor B. Smith asked if there was any new information anyone in attendance wished to address. No one responded.
