Minority Ethnic Employment and Training Support (MEETS)

£20,000 Per Annum (18.5 hours per week) pro-rata

Job Description

The main duties of the post will be:

1.  To deliver project activities as stated in the project work plan. This will include overseeing all activities as proposed and delivered by all project staff

2.  Support internal soft skills training through facilitation and evaluation.

3.  Support Management on the planning and preparing of all course and soft skills materials as deliverables for the service users.

4.  Organising employment and volunteering opportunities for service users

5.  Providing one to one support in organising CV’s, assist with application forms, mock interviews and seeking employment opportunities.

6.  Support the Project Manager and Employment Advisor in arranging and delivering workplace tours and jobs fairs to increase opportunities for individuals from minority ethnic communities – bridging the gap between services.

7.  Market the project to all external agencies and develop partnership working for referrals.

8.  Adapt and input into the appointment system for service users including supporting the Admin and Resource Officer with regular updating of the client database.

9.  Support project events and liaise with stakeholders to ensure strong attendance and participation.

10. Support the internal project monitoring system including monitoring of timekeeping and other operational activities.

11. Collect and monitor project use and evidence specific outcomes and report to funder supported by senior management.

12. Monitor and evaluate the progress of the project and difference it is making to project users using innovative evaluation techniques and tools and recording the results in format required by funder to management.

13. Develop meaningful partnerships and liaise with other agencies to raise awareness of the project services.

14. Undergo training as required.

15. Work occasional unsociable hours
