Terms and scope of the CSR Reviews:
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as the way companies integrate social, environmental, and economic concerns into their values and operations in a transparent and accountable manner. It is integral to long-term business growth and success, and it also plays an important role in promoting Danish values internationally and contributing to the sustainable development of communities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark works along with the Ministry of Business and Growth as well as other stakeholders to foster and promote CSR.
The Trade Council in China encourages Danish companies to work with CSR. The Trade Council facilitates Danish Companies’ CSR work in China by offering a 10 hour free of charge CSR review.The10 hours CSR review can be used by a Danish company active in Chinato get an assessment of the CSR standards and conditions of a local partner such as a supplier, subsidiary or a joint venture partner.
The Danish company will be provided with an assessment report and list of recommendations as part of the CSR Review. Given that the FOCS is limited to 10 hours, the report will provide an overview of main findings along with recommendations rather than a thorough analysis. TC is available to offer further assistance on its normal terms for chargeable services, including the subsidized Export Start Growth packages for SME’s. TC is also ready to refer the company to other qualified service providers.
Note: There is a limited number of CSR FOCs available and they are subject to selection based on application
