The Director of the Medical Staff Office will report to VP, Chief Quality and Safety Officer, and jointly they will be accountable for the high level functioning of the medical staff office. This includes oversight and accountability for the entire cycle of credentialing and privileging. This is inclusive and includes the accountability and oversight of the On-going Professional Practice Evaluation and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation. The Director of the Medical Staff Office will be charged with running the day to day operations of the Medical Staff Office. Additionally, the Director of the Medical Staff Office will be the internally and externally visible individual over the Medical Staff Office. The Director of the Medical Staff Office will continue to build strong relationships with the Division Chiefs and Senior Vice-Presidents and work collaboratively with the former stakeholders to provide an efficient and smooth on-boarding process that meets the needs of the organization. The Director will have budget oversight of the hospital Medical Staff Office budget and the independent budget of the actual Medical Staff. The Director of the Medical Staff office will be responsible and accountable for the professional development of the office.

Extensive experience with medical staff office

Extensive experience in medical staff services.
Required Certifications
Medical Staff Office credentials (e.g. NAMS), Will consider additional medical staff office certifications.

Management of Medical Staff Office
• Accountable for cycle of credentialing and privileging.
• Accountable for OPPE/FPPE process and outcomes.
• Coordinate and support medical staff officers in peer review.
• Partner with Medical Executive Committee.
