POSTGAME QUOTES

Milwaukee Bucks (116) vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (101)

March 4, 2016 – BMO Harris Bradley Center – Milwaukee, WI

MILWAUKEE BUCKS

Head Coach Jason Kidd

(On tonight’s game…)

“With that group that was in there at the end of the third and kind of going to the fourth, we stopped playing. It was kind of like when your pencil gets dull. We have to sharpen our pencils. That group has to stay sharp. We have to stay sharp as a team. We won the game, we can learn from this because Minnesota kept playing and kind of made a game of it. Again, that group that was in there that started the third quarter was really good.”

(On key players tonight...)

“The group that was on the floor kind of let the game get away from them. You look at when Giannis [Antetokounmpo] and Khris [Middleton] came back in. They’re young enough to spring back and be aggressive. I thought Giannis got them going. Khris had a great night tonight. We played Moose [Greg Monroe] a lot longer stretches than we normally do. I thought he was good tonight too.”

(On being successful from the 3-point line…)

“I think one, [we were] sharing the ball, two, [we were] making them. We’ve taken some and we’ve missed. I thought Khris [Middleton], normally a player who comes off and maybe shooting one at the buzzer to miss. I thought [Khris] was a little more focused tonight in that sense. He got great wide open looks. His teammates found him and he knocked them down.”

Guard/Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo

(On being one rebound away from a triple-double tonight…)

“It doesn’t matter. We got the win. That’s what we play for. We play to win, and we’ve just got to get out of this and move forward. I tried [to get the last rebound]. I didn’t get it. I knew that I was a rebound away from a triple-double, but it’s a great game. For us, it doesn’t matter at the end of the day. I have a lot of games in my career moving forward, so I just have to be a pro and focus on the next game.”

(On losing their big lead in the fourth quarter…)

“I think it’s something that we do wrong sometimes. Sometimes when we get up and we have a big lead, we relax. We don’t keep playing. We’ve got to keep playing hard. I think the second group that came in for Minnesota did a great job, but we still got the win.”

(On his growing chemistry with Jabari Parker…)

“We’re getting more comfortable. Jabari’s my guy. Right now I’m trying to spend more time with him. I told him at the beginning of the game ‘When I get it, run. I’m going to find you. When you get it, I’m going to run and you’re going to find me. I trust that you’re going to find me.’ He’s doing a great job finding me, and I think I’m doing a great job finding him. I think that connection is coming.”

Forward Khris Middleton

(On the second unit in fourth quarter…)

“It wasn’t just them. That first group finished off the third quarter and we didn’t finish the job the right way. They kept going on their runs. So, as a team, we just have to do a better job of that.”

(On attempting more outside shots as a team…)

“We just got to be better shooters. Right now, we are playing to our strength, which isn’t the 3-point line. It’s something that’ll happen eventually.”

(On Giannis Antetokounmpo playing at point guard tonight…)

“We’re playing really well with Giannis at the point. He’s finding guys, moving the ball and causing so much attention, so many problems. It’s been good for us.”
