Military Affiliated Scholarship and Grant Information

Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA): DeCA has established a program offering a scholarship at every commissary where eligible students have applied.

Army Emergency Relief (AER): AER offers dependent children of Soldiers scholarships and grants.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF): The MCSF offers scholarships to children of active, deceased, or honorably discharged Marines.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS): The NMCRS education programs assist eligible Sailors, Marines, and family members with scholarships and no-interest loans.

Navy SEAL Foundation: The Navy SEAL Foundation awards educational grants for the men and women of Navy Special Warfare, their spouses and their children.

Air Force Aid Society (AFAS): AFAS education programs assist eligible family members by providing tuition assistance and grant programs.

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA): CGMA offers eligible spouses and children loans and grants.

Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Scholarships: ROTC scholarships are based on student’s merit and grades, not financial need. Must meet physical requirements. Require military commitment. American Legacy Scholarships: The American Legacy Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to children of military members whohave died while on active duty since September 11, 2001 andchildren of VA-rated, post-9/11 veterans with a disability of 50 percent or higher.

US Department of Defense: Provides a listing of many scholarships programs available to military children.

Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant: This grant is intended for students whose parent or guardian died as a result of military service in Iraq or Afghanistan after Sep. 11, 2001.

Reserve Officer’s Association (ROA): The Henry J. Reilly Memorial Scholarship Program is designed to assist members of ROA, ROA League, their children, or grandchildren who are attending or wish to attend college.

Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) Scholarship Fund: Forofficer and enlisted members.

Heroes' Legacy Scholarships Program: Honors not only those who have fallen in battle, but all who have died or have become disabled through their active military service since September 11, 2001.

Anchor Scholarship Foundation: Provides scholarships to eligible family members of active duty, retired, or honorably discharged Surface Navy Personnel.
