MIDWEST BIRD & ANIMAL BREEDERS ASSOCIATION
The purpose of this organization is to preserve and propagate all varieties of game, ornamental and caged pet birds and animals, to assist breeders of such to secure stock and/or markets for same, to dispense such information as would be of general interest to the breeders of any varieties, and to create new markets through educating the public to the advantages of ranch raised game for table use and the beauty of ornamental varieties.

I have an exhibition type show string of about 400 birds consisting of 75 breeds of bantam and large fowl birds. I show these birds at the Clinton, Bond, Madison, Crawford, Cole county fairs in Illinois, the Illinois State Fair and Semo fair in Missouri.

ARTICLES & BYLAWS FOR THE
MIDWEST BIRD AND ANIMAL BREEDERS ASSOCIATION
ARTICLE I – NAME
Section 1. This organization shall be known as: Midwest Bird and Animal Breeders Association.
ARTICLE II – PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Section 1. To preserve and propagate all varieties of game, ornamental and caged pet birds and animals.
Section 2. To assist breeders of such to secure stock and/ or markets for same.
Section 3. To dispense such information as would be of general interest to the breeders of any varieties.
Section 4. To create new markets through educating the public to the advantages of ranch raised game for table use and the beauty of ornamental varieties.
ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP
Section 1. Anyone may become a member by presenting an application with the necessary dues to the Secretary or Treasurer.
Section 2. Such membership is to expire on the 31st of December of each year.
Section 3. The association reserves the right to cancel or refuse to grant the privileges of this association to anyone who abuses it’s bylaws and rules set forth. This cancellation will be discussed by the officers and put to a ballot vote of the membership.
ARTICLE IV - ELECTIONS
Section 1. A slate of four officers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) will be nominated by the membership and voted on by ballot.
Section 2. - Nominations will be held at the September meeting and nominations voted on at the November meeting. (SEE AMENDMENT #1)
Section 3. - Mail-in ballots or nominations will be accepted only with the signature of the member submitting the nomination..
Section 4. - Officers may be re-elected if the membership desires.
ARTICLE V - OFFICERS
Section 1. The President:
A. Shall preside at all meetings of the association. B. Will act as chairperson of the board of directors and vote only if the directors fail to act. C. Is to serve as comptroller of on the association’s finances. D. Will appoint directors and or special committees.
Section 2. The Vice President
A. Shall assist the President.
B. Shall preside at meetings where the President is unable to attend.
Section 3. The Secretary
A. Shall keep member records, take the minutes at each meeting and be in charge of the newsletter.
Section 4. The Treasurer
A. Shall keep the records of the association’s funds received and expended and will give a report at each meeting,
Section 5. The Directors
A. Shall be responsible for the association’s activities.
B. Will handle the special categories at show and/or sale/swap events.
ARTICLE VI - MEETINGS
Section 1. Regular meetings will be held every other month starting in January. (SEE AMMENDMENT #2)
Section 2. A special meeting may be called by the President if a regular meeting has to be cancelled.
