CAMPAIGN MANAGER

MID-WARKS MENCAP 50TH ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN

Job Summary

The full-time Campaign Manager role will be critical to the success ofMid-Warks MENCAP’s fundraising efforts as the team strives to reach the fundraising target for the 50th Anniversary Campaign. The job is interesting and varied, working with both internal and external audiences, and providing the insistent voice to the Campaign team.

Main Responsibilities

The Campaign Manager will assume the day-to-day management of the Campaign. Duties include:

Major Donors & Campaign Board

  1. Guide the 50th Anniversary Campaign Board using the Campaign Plan, ensuring targets are met and the important phasing strategy is implemented.
  2. Support the Campaign Board in their approaches to secure gifts from key contacts.
  3. Research prospective donors and major gifts prospects for the Campaign.
  4. Facilitate visits to the Mid-Warks MENCAPsites for potential major donors as both information and thank you events (as appropriate).
  5. Support the Campaign Board members in the hosting of Information Events forming the first step in the cultivation process to securing gifts.
  6. Preparation of tailored fundraising proposals to grant-making bodies and companies.

Administration

  1. Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date records and data systems as required by the Campaign.
  2. Arrange and attend monthly Campaign Board meetings, providing agendas and notes for all members.
  3. Submit monthly development reports to the Campaign Board and Mid-Warks Board of Trustees/Development Sub-Committee.
  4. Answer telephone calls, emails and other correspondence related to the Campaign.
  5. Oversee the gift management process, ensuring gifts are processed correctly, thank you letters are distributed promptly and any other follow-up is undertaken.
  6. Planning and implementing any Campaign events including preparing and mailing invitations and logging responses, providing speech/briefing notes, liaising with caterers and other external contractors, and overseeing the team during the event.

General

  1. Attend a weekly update meeting with the Mid-Warks MENCAP teams and/or Campaign Chairman.
  2. Manage Campaign communications with the general public including a regular donor newsletter, updates to website and liaison with local media.
  3. AttendMid-Warks MENCAP staff meetings, ensuring the team are up-to-date with progress and supportive of developments (as appropriate).
