Mid-Penn Fantasy Football League Rules

1) RULE CHANGES: No rule changes will be made once the season starts. A 7/10 majority is needed to change an existing rule or the equivalent percentage as long as there is a majority of owners present. A 6/10 majority is needed for a new rule.

2)ENTRY FEE:The entry fee will be $80.00 for each team. Half of the entry fee is due by week 4 with the remainder of the entry fee due before week 10.

3)SEASON:Play will consist of a 14 week regular season, with an additional 2 week play-off to determine the champion.

4)DIVISIONS:The league will be divided into 2 five team divisions. Each year the divisions will re-align, based on the final standings from the previous year. The league Champion, and the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th place finisher will be in one division and the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th place finisher will be in the other.

5)PLAY-OFFS:Each division Winner, and the two non-division winners with the best records will advance to the play-offs. The division winner with the best record will play the lowest seeded wild card team and the other division winner will play the highest seeded wild card team in the first round. In the second play-off round, the two winners will play in the “Superbowl” and the two losing playoff teams will play for 3rd and 4th places respectively. TIES FOR PLAYOFF SPOTS WILL BE DECIDED BY THE FOLLOWING:

#1-Head to Head Record

#2-Total Points Scored

#3-Draft Order, with the higher pick getting the spot

6)ROSTERS)Each roster will have 30 active roster spots. Each team must have on their active roster the following minimums:

2QB4RB4WR2TE2PK 2D/ST.

The other spots can be filled any way each owers sees fit. Any player listed at two different positions can be played at either position week to week, as long as positional minimums do not depend on that player.

7)DRAFT DAY:The Sunday before week 1 has been PERMINANTLY designated for the yearly draft. The time may vary from year to year but the date will remain perminant. PLEASE KEEP THIS DATE FREE!!!!!!

8) IR:IR`s have been eliminated.

9)PICKUPS:After the first game of the season pickups may be made. The cost of each pickup is 2.00. Pickups may be made at any time, on a first come first served basis, however, pickups made between 9pm and 9am MUST be made by e-mail. Pickups may be made up till the Thursday after week 17 in the NFL, to allow players who play in the last few games of the NFL`s regular season to be picked up. Any player dropped after kickoff on Sunday must clear waivers until the following Sunday. The waiver procedure is as follows, from the time the player is dropped until 30 minutes before gametime, anyone interested in the player sends an e-mail or calls for the player. Then 30 minutes before gametime the team that is lowest in the standings gets that player, and may use him that week if he so chooses. However, after a player clears waivers it is first come first served.

10)TRADING:Trading may be done on an unlimited basis up to week 10. After week 10, no trading may be done until after the end-of-season meeting (Super Bowl Sunday). The cost of trades will be 2.00 per player or draft pick traded. Cash considerations are not allowed. Once a player is traded, he may not return to the same team during the same season. Any owner who feels an unfair trade has occurred should bring this to the attention of the commissioner in a timely manner, who will in turn, get responses from the rest of the owners not involved and a decision will be made.

11)ROSTER REDUCTION: On a agreed upon date in August, each owner must reduce their roster to 25 spots. All players cut are free agents, available to be taken in the upcoming draft.

12) WEEKLY LINEUP: Each team will submit a weekly lineup of the following: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1PK, 1D/ST and 1 extra player. The extra player may be any player on your roster. The lineup must be turned into the scorekeeper 30 minutes prior to game time of the first game of the week. If no lineup is turned in, the previous weeks lineup will be used. Any owner not calling in a lineup will be given a warning on the first offense. Each offense after the warning will result in a 10.00 fine for each offense. After 4 fines the league will then vote to decide if the owner is to be allowed to continue in the league or if he will be replaced.

13)SCORING:Combined yardage for QB/RB/WR/TE is calculated by adding all OFFENSIVE yardage (passing, receiving, and rushing). The scoring system will consist of the following:

-For RB/WR/TE you receive 1 point for every 25 yards.

-For QB you receive 1 point for every 50 yards

-For Rushing or Receiving a 2 point conversion you receive 2 points.

-For passing for a 2 point conversion you receive 1 point.

-For a rushing or receiving touchdown you receive 6 points.

-For a touchdown pass you receive 4 points

-For an extra point you receive 1 point.

-For a sack you receive 1 point

-For a turnover you receive 2 points.

-For a safety you receive 2 points.

-For a Defensive or special teams touchdown you receive 6 points.

-For a defensive shutout you receive 5 points.

-For field goals of 1-39 yards you receive 3 points

-For field goals of 40-49 yards you receive 4 points.

-For field goals of 50-59 yards you receive 5 points.

-For field goals of 60-69 yards you receive 6 points.

-PLEASE NOTE, DEFENSIVE POINTS MAY ONLY BE SCORED IF THE DEFENSE IS ON THE FIELD.

14)SCORING DISPUTES: If there is any questions about a scoring matter you must contact the scorekeeper before the start of games the following week. If the discrepancy cannot be resolved, the commissioner should be contacted as soon as possible.

15)PRIZE MONEY:The playoff teams will divide the prize money in the following fashion:

1st place50 percent

2nd place25 percent

3rd place15 percent

4th place 10 percent

Each division winner will receive 20.00 before the prize money is divided up, along with 25.00 for the high weekly scoring team in weeks 1-10 and 25.00 for the high weekly scoring team in weeks 11-14. Prize money will consist of all entry fees, pickup fees, trade fees, and any fines, minus the cost of a trophy and the money to be paid to division winners and 2 high scorers.

16)DRAFT ORDER:For the 2005-2006 season the draft order will be the same as previous years, with the last place team getting the first pick, next to last, the second pick and so on and so on. However starting with the 2006-2007 season the draft order will be as follows:

1st pick- 5th place team

2nd pick-6th place team

3rd pick-7th place team

4th pick-8th place team

5th pick-9th place team

6th pick-10th place team

7th pick-4th place team

8th pick-3rd place team

9th pick-2nd place team

10 pick-League Champion.

Please note, this is supposed to be a fun league and win or lose its all about fun and friendship, not the money. At no time should any disagreement in the league affect anybodies friendship.
