MINUTES OF THE FINANCE & GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON THE 2nd October 2006 IN THE VILLAGE HALL

2) DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
None
3) ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES
The circulated minutes of the Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on 4th September 2006 were accepted.
4) BANKING UPDATE
Accounts for the period up to 27.09.2006 were circulated. The following payments were agreed
4.1 Internal Auditor - £50
4.2 Keith Levin &Co - £12 (registration of park)
4.3 Mr P Done - £250 (car park rental)
4.4 St Johns/ St Peters Holiday Club - £200
5) MICKLE TRAFFORD TAXI SCHEME
An update on how the scheme works will be published in the next newsletter. If the budget is exceeded then the rate of payment per trip must be reduced, at the present time the scheme is over budget and this situation will be monitored over the next couple of months.
6)NORTH WEST AIR AMBULANCE
A request for a donation for the above has been turned down as the Parish Council have an established policy not to make donations with public money. Individuals could make donations and details will be given in the next newsletter.
7)EXTERNAL AUDIT
The auditors advised that it is good practice for specific references to be made in the minutes. It was decided therefore that each decision should be given a reference number and any payments made should show the reference number on the cheque counterfoil.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 6th November 2006 in the village hall at 8.00pm.
