Student Teaching on District’s Calendar:Student teachers will follow the school district calendar if it differs from the CSUN calendar in order to remain in the classroom with their pupils.

Overview of Student Teaching
Before EFE: Contact student teachers, schools, and supervising teachers.
During EFE: Begin working on “Student Teaching Assignment List.” Students complete 20 hours of EFE; Students enrolled in EED 520/EED 477B complete an additional 20 hours of OP.
Student Teaching Week 1: Collect “EFE Checklists/logs” from student teachers.Submit Student Teaching Assignment List to
Student Teaching Week 5: Complete midterm CTPs and review with student teachers. As appropriate, complete Student Teaching Assistance Report (STAR)/Student Teaching Assistance Plan (STAP) and review with student teacher/Field Experience Coordinator.
Student Teaching Week 10 (1st semester); Weeks 9-10 (2nd semester): Complete final CTPs and review with student teachers following completion of “All Days”. Collect “ST Checklists” from student teachers.
Extended Assignment: As needed, student teaching make-up days and extension of student teaching assignment. Inform Field Experience Coordinator.
After Student Teaching:Submit EFE Logs, ST Checklists, and observation notes to ED 1206.
