Saturday, April 11, 2015 – Location:QuarDream’s Farm, Mount Forest

The MHCO Fuzzy Show offers its members of all ages a day of fun and a chance to socialize in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The rules are simple: no show clipping or show prep, no show halters, no show clothing to be worn. Safe good fitting halters for the horse and casual clothing for the humans is the required turnout for the day.

Note: For this show only: Non-registered Miniatures (38” & under) are allowed.

For Safety Reasons, NO stallions will be allowed to attend this event.

Schedule:

8:00am Registration$10 per MHCO Members & $15 for Non Members. (These fees apply to spectators as well.)

Price includes participation in all the events for the day. Please note that lunch will not be included in your registration fee. Please bring your lunch, or you can purchase a BBQ lunch from QuarDreams.

*MHCO Members who want to bring a friend: Please remember to complete our “Bring a Friend" form to register your Guest. The form must be completed and signed upon registering.

9:00 – 10:15amClinic start time (No Horses:)

Clinic #1: Everything you want to know about Liberty! This demo will be “video based” and will engage participants in an open Q&A format while critiquing liberty videos. Facilitator: Carolyn Aarup

Clinic #2: Equine First Aid: Vitalsigns, 1st aid kit & emergency must haves. Facilitator: Angie Trumpler.

15 Minute Break

10:30 – 11:30

Circuit Facilitating (with your horse – approx. 20 min per station)

  • Showmanship & review of AMHR patterns #1, #2, #3 – Carolyn Aarup, Terri Schell Serena Krawczyk
  • Jumping - Doug Savage, Mervin ScottMarieKrawczyk
  • Obstacles - Caroline Moor & Angie Trumpler

11:30-12:45 Lunch*Why not participate in a tack swap??There is no fee, but proceeds towards the MHCO are greatly appreciated! *NOTE: We are also willing to help with your registration paperwork. (ie: transfers, changing temporary to permanent, etc.) Just bring them along with you. We can discuss over lunch.

1:00Fun Show Starts! Judge: Danny Laycock

3:30 Team Games, (Pylon Race, Flag Race &Musical Mats) as well as Jump Off;(fault & out)

4:00 High Point Trophies will be awarded to Top Youth Horse/Handler Combination as well as Top Adult Horse/Handler Combination

4:30 Ground Clean-up (We request that all Youth Members participate)

5:00 Departure from Grounds
