Issue / Matter / Task / Responsible / Due ByInvited British
At our AGM in November, Rodney Gibb requested on behalf of Ian Wilson, that Ian be allowed to enter and run in our series.
- As IB liaison, Keith discussed the criteria for IB Sports Cars and it was unanimously agreed that Keith will write to Ian and another with a similar recent request, inviting them to make application to the committee.
- The applications will immediately be circulated to committee members for consideration and responses provided.
- A draft of criteria for Invited British Sports Cars, prepared earlier in the year by Keith, is to be published on the website and form the basis for acceptance into the category.
Rodney Gibb – Request to reclassify racecar
At the AGM, Rodney Gibb made a request to consider reclassifying his MGTF Race Car from Open 1 to Open 3. After much discussion and reference to the Class Rules, it was unanimously agreed that with a sequential gearbox and further modifications, including under tray and others, the car is simply too far developed to be categorized in any class other than Open 1.
Sponsors and Supporters
The committee very much thank and appreciate the ongoing support of our series sponsors. We thank Hobsons Stores, Splatt Engineering and also Wolfchester for committing to continue with us in 2017. There are two further sponsors with whom discussions continue.
- Phil to speak with Andrew about holding Christmas in July function at Hobsons Stores.
- Phil to arrange feather banners with sponsors logos and MG Racing logo

Calendar 2017
It is noted that the ASSA round at Sandown in July is scheduled only two weeks before Winton Festival of Speed. The prospect of dropping this round (leaving two rounds at each of the Victorian circuits) and adding an interstate round at Wakefield Park, most likely beginning of April was discussed.
- Paul to investigate available dates for Wakefield and report back to the committee.
- 2017 Calendar to be published before end of the year.

End of Year Function
We received some very positive feedback about the end of year function and were extremely pleased to have 94 people come along and enjoy the night. It was agreed that it was a success and can form the foundation for something bigger next year.
- We need to locate a venue and set a date that does not clash with any club, major or popular events.
- Arrangements will be made early with tickets available for purchase and details published.

Garages
It is known that over the years the racing register has lost money as a result of not being able to return surplus garages / not receiving payment through entry cancelation. For 2017, round 1 (MG Car Club round at Sandown), Winton Festival of Speed and Sandown Historic, garages will continue to be booked centrally via the committee member organizing the event. For every other round, we ask competitors to book and pay for a garage via the Meecams entry or paper entry, whichever is used. This will require entries to be completed earlier than has sometimes been the case previously. We also note the event organizers will as a matter of course, place our category together.
