MEUSER MEMORIAL LEADERSHIP AWARD

Faye Meuser was an exceptional nursing leader who spent twenty-seven years in various management positions within nursing at Providence Health Care (PHC) until her retirement.
Upon retirement she continued to contribute to nursing by joining the BC History of Nursing Group as well as volunteering in the St. Paul’s Hospital Archives. Faye was a well-known and respected nurse leader until she passed away in June 2007 after a battle with cancer. In recognition of her contributions to PHC and her strong leadership, Providence Health Care
and the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation established this award in her memory.

Providence Health Care will annually recognize a leader for demonstrating exceptional leadership within the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Individual leaders may apply for the Meuser Memorial Leadership Award or be nominated by colleagues within PHC. Applicants should articulate how they meet the criteria listed below and attach a letter of reference from their current supervisor.The deadline for applications isMonday, May 4th, 2015.The award will be presented to the successful recipient at the PHC Annual General Meeting (June 2015).

This award is open to all staff within leadership positions that have been employed at PHC for
5 or more years (Senior Leadership Team members are not eligible).
