As an adhesive for jointing ARMAFLEX foam rubber type insulation. Usage rate 1-2 litres per shift / Duration of use:
up to 6 hours / day

Handlers during application and possibly anyone in close proximity. / No of People exposed?

How is/could anyone be exposed?
During application and spreading of liquid product - Inhalation of vapours and skin absorption.
During handling of glued ARMAFLEX insulation - contact with the hands and fingers is possible.

Note - the use of this product is prohibited in poorly ventilated or confined spaces.

Respirators - Production / Y / Half mask respirator fitted with A1 or A2 (organic vapour) cartridge shall be worn when insulating vessels/applying sheet and when using glue for more than 15 minutes. Masks to be inspected before every safety meeting.
Respirators - Site / N / Not normally required but if further risk assessment shows a respirator should be worn -specify a half mask respirator fitted with A1 or A2 (organic vapour) cartridge.

Transport:
This is a packing group III product; therefore, the carriage of dangerous goods by road regulations may apply.
Transport in suppliers containers with lids tightly sealed.
Storage:
Factory- containers must be stored in the paint store. Site- containers must be stored in a cupboard or bin
Constructed of fire resisting material, or in a secure position in the open air away from buildings.
Spillage: - Leaks from containers:-
The quantities in use at any one time pose a low risk. Should spillage occur, wipe up spill with absorbent material whilst wearing PPE
First aid:
Inhalation - Remove to fresh air seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
Skin contact - Wash in soap and water NOT THINNERS.
Eye contact - Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or water for 15 minutes holding the eye lids open
Ingestion - Obtain immediate medical attention DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
Fire fighting measures:
Extinguishing media - Water spray or dry powder.
Disposal of packaging and unused substance:
Dried waste and emptied containers may be disposed of as normal industrial waste, otherwise seek advice from a
registered waste operator or environmental engineer.

Any other comments:
If used as directed in this assessment, exposures are unlikely to exceed the exposure limits. However if used in poorly ventilated or confined spaces, high concentrations of solvent vapour could accumulate, presenting both a health hazard, and a fire/explosion risk.
THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT IS PROHIBITED IN POORLY VENTILATED OR CONFINED SPACES.
