Preparing for Christmas

From Mark Poeller, Construction & Maintenance Supervisor

Christmas is only a couple weeks away! Here are a couple of tips to keep your family safe and able to enjoy the holidays:

1.If you have a real Christmas tree, keep it well watered. And put a couple of aspirin in the water. This helps to keep it from drying out too fast.

2.Make sure burners andoven are all turned off when you are finished cooking and baking all those Christmas goodies.

3.While out shopping, keep your packages in the trunk where people passing by your car cannot see them.

4.When putting up your decorations, check the power cords and wire to make sure they are all in good condition and don’t overload power outlets.

5.Test check your smoke alarms to be sure they are working while using all that extra electricity during the Christmas season.

HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR!
