Not to exceed two pages, detailing the applicant’s equine and veterinary experience (externships and clinical rotations), along with community and scholastic leadership experience including any offices held.

  1. An Essay answering the following questions within 500 words total:
  2. What sets you apart from other veterinary students and how will you impact the field of equine veterinary medicine?
  3. Brief description of your career goals; addressing what area of equine practice do you plan to focus on? Please describe what steps you will take now and over the next 5 years to gain the experience and skills necessary to achieve this goal.
  1. An Essay answering the following question within 200 words:
  • What skills have you gained as a leader of your student chapter of the AAEP and how will you use those in your career?
  1. Clinical Instructor or Faculty Member Recommendation to include:
  2. Evaluation form to be completed by a clinical instructor or faculty member familiar with the applicant’s performance.
  3. Letter of recommendation
  1. Private Practitioner Recommendation to include:
  • Letter of recommendation
