Menagerie Theatre Company is casting for a new forum theatre piece, ‘The Great Austerity Debate’.

Auditions are on Friday September 23rd, Cambridge Junction, by appointment only.

Information

We are seeking one male and one female performer to be part of a forum theatre project about the effects of austerity. Rehearsing in Cambridge, the piece will then tour for one week, to various non-theatre venues around the UK. Each show is 2 hours long, comprising a 40-minute play (written), and 80-minute forum period.

Along with strong performance skills, we are looking for actors who can improvise, who are unafraid of working directly with audience members, and who can expect the unexpected during performances. The project is directed by Patrick Morris who will also facilitate (‘joker’) the performances.

Casting

1 female, mid-20s-early 30s. The character is single, working-class and works in healthcare. She has 2 young children. We encourage all ethnicities to apply.
