14/11/16 / Pick a Star – Children pick a star and carryout that job for tidy up time in the class. Share the story ‘Owl babies’ discuss how they would feel if they were those babies.
Play together using the small world and doll’s house. / Share the story ‘How to catch a star’ by Oliver Jeffers – discuss the items in the story. Recap on people who work at night; which job would they like to do? Talk about bedtime routines and related vocabulary. / Bed time challenges – Can they put on button up pyjamas; get into aonesie; put slippers on the correct feet; brush their teeth; wash their face? – Race against the clock. Discuss the importance of hygiene. / Share the painting ‘I and the village’ by Marc Chagall; what can they see in the painting – write a list or draw a picture with a caption.
