Membership Information and Policies

Billing Options for Membership Fees:

There are 3 payment plans available for all membership levels:

1 – Prepaid – total membership fee as listed paid prior to a membership becoming active. Prepaid plan prior to March 12entitles member to two (2) complimentary guest passes good anytime for 18 holes with cart.

2 – 50-50 – total membership fee as listed plus 2.5% finance charge (Requires a valid credit card and a signed credit card authorization form on file). 50% paid at time of purchase and the remaining 50% paid within the first five (5) days of July. If the payment account does not have sufficient funds to make the full payment or the card has expired, Sunset Ridge Golf Club will notify the member. The member will then have three (3) business days after notification to make alternate arrangements for the payment. If the member has not arranged payment within three (3) business days of notification, the membership will be suspended and the member will pay the amount past due plus a $25.00 service fee to reactivate the membership. Memberships remain in suspension until all past due amounts are paid in full.

3 – Monthly – total membership fee as listed plus 5% finance charge. 1/6 of total fee to be paid within the first five (5) days of the month from April through September. If the payment account does not have sufficient funds to make the full payment or the card has expired, Sunset Ridge Golf Club will notify the member. The member will then have three (3) business days after notification to make alternate arrangements for the payment. If the member has not arranged payment within three (3) business days of notification, the membership will be suspended and the member will pay the amount past due plus a $25.00 service fee to reactivate the membership. Memberships remain in suspension until all past due amounts are paid in full.

Refund Policy:

Membership fees are non-refundable except for the following conditions:

Medical Leave of Absence:

Any Member in good standing may request from KMGM a medical leave of absence. The request must be in writing, and must specify the medical reason supporting the request. Furthermore, the request must specify how long it is anticipated that the Member will be unable to play golf, and the date that the request, if granted, is to be effective. The Member is encouraged to provide third party medical verification supporting the request.

A medical leave of absence may be granted if the following conditions are met:

1. There exists or will exist a medical condition that will likely prevent the applicant from playing golf for at least 2 months.

2. The applicant has not previously been granted a medical leave of absence within the preceding year, nor has the applicant ever been granted previously more than 1 medical leave of absence.

Every medical leave of absence granted shall be effective as of the 1st day of a month (and may be retroactive to the beginning of the month in which the request is made, if applicant has not played golf during that month). The minimum duration of a medical leave of absence is 2 months, and the maximum period is 6 months. If the member is unable to return from leave of absence in a given seasona credit toward the next year's dues will be given based on the prorated monthly dues.

During the leave of absence, the Member shall not play golf at Sunset Ridge Golf Club. The Member shall, however, be allowed to use the practice green and practice range if such use is consistent with thecondition of the Member, or is appropriate to the member’s rehabilitation.

Permanently/physically unable to play golf:

1. Debilitating injuries, sickness or death of a member preventing participation in the game of golf for the remainder of the active season.

2. A Member’s transfer by his employer necessitating a change of residence outside of 35 mile radius of Sunset Ridge Golf Club.

Sunset Ridge Golf Club reserves the right to withdraw permission to use the golf course to anyone engaging in the following:

Threatening or abusive behavior to golf course staff or other players

Damaging the golf course or golf course property

Behavior that may cause injury to themselves or others

Failure to follow golf course rules and regulations

Golf Course Rules and Regulations

All players must register in the golf shop. Players may only play from either the first or tenth tee as directed by golf shop personnel.

Each operator of a golf cart must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license, licensed 16 and 17 year olds are allowed only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Only two persons and two sets of golf clubs are permitted per golf car – Players must observe posted golf car usage rules.

Golf carts must remain on paths where provided and must be kept 30 ft. from greens and tees.

Each player is required to have a set of golf clubs (sharing sets is not permitted) and may not use range balls on course.

Food and drink must be purchased from the Club House/Pro Shop or from the food/beverage cart operated by the Sunset Ridge Golf Club. No outside coolers or food and beverage are allowed. Special permission to bring outside catering on the property for events can granted by Sunset Ridge Golf Club.

Golfers may practice only in the area designated for practice. Practicing on the golf course is not permitted, and this includes playing more than one ball, except as required by the Rules of Golf. At no time are golfers permitted to hit balls from the practice area across the golf course or hit practice balls from other than designated practice areas. Practice balls are property of Sunset Ridge Golf Club and are not to be removed from the practice areas.

•No private golf cars or other motorized methods of transportation are allowed.

•The maximum number of players allowed per group is four; no fivesomes are permitted unless given permission by golf shop personnel.

•Repair all ball marks, rake bunkers, and fix divots

•Speed of Play: It is the goal of Sunset Ridge Golf Club to have all players complete their round in a maximum time of 4 hours and 15 minutes. It is the responsibility of each group to keep pace with the group ahead. Groups falling more than 1 hole behind the group ahead of them may be asked to move back into position or forced to allow following groups to play through.

•Proper attire required. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. Bathing attire, cut off shorts, halter tops, tube tops, tank tops and similar types of recreational wear are not allowed.

•Players should be aware of approaching, impending, or threatening weather. Sunset Ridge Golf Club does not have an inclement weather warning or detection system. We do monitor dangerous weather conditions and make reasonable efforts to inform players on the course of oncoming conditions. Golfers play at their own risk.

•Members are absolutely not permitted behind the bar or in the kitchen or other back of the house areas unless accompanied by management.

•No joggers, walkers, cyclists are permitted on cart paths or golf course at any time.

•Management is the only entity permitted to retrieve golf balls from the ponds, woods or ornamental grasses at Sunset Ridge Golf Club. Ball-hawking is not allowed.
