How many credits of Psy 499 would you like to register for (1 to 3 credits)?Each credit requires 3 hours a week of lab time (falling within an 8 to 5, M-F schedule), plus attendance at lab meetings and other activities.
Lab meetings will be held alternating Fridays from 10 am to 11 am, and are required for all research team members.
general information
As a research assistant, you will run participants, conduct literature reviews, complete ethics training, participate in lab meetings, and learn about the process of research in psychology. You will also have the opportunity to present some of your work at conferences such as the Undergraduate Research Symposium, though this is not required of research assistants. Lab meetings will focus on discussion of projects, and research assistants may be asked to find and lead discussion on relevant articles, discuss potential follow-up studies, and other activities as we decide.The overall goal is for you to learn useful research skills while contributing to one or more research projects.
