REGISTRAR REPORT

Registrar has no significant updates. A couple of registrations have trickled in.

COASTAL YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE UPDATE

CYSL has asked us to enforce the Zero Tolerance policy. There have been a number of issues, primarily at the U10 level, where parents are addressing the referees directly. If a parent is concerned with their child’s safety in a game, they are free to remove their child from the game.

Reminder that the CYSL requires that all games be played by June 3rd. Any games played after that date will be considered a scrimmage. PYS has aksed that no team forfeit a game so that PYS will not be fined.

REFEREE COORDINATOR UPDATE

Referee Coordinator, Mike Guimares, has communicated directly with all coaches on how to reschedule games in our system.

REQUIRED: If we reschedule during the week, the times must be at 5pm or 6:30pm (for the purpose of coordinating the referees).

Concerns

  • Issues with dogs, smoking the field and cars parking where they are not permitted. Dawn will contact Chris MacManus to create appropriate signage.
  • Fields being used for training purposes without PYS consent or approval. While the matter is difficult to police, all board members should report any unauthorized people using the facility for training purposes.
  • Telephone poles (that are used to create boundaries for parking and fields) are rotting. Dawn/Marco will contact the Pembroke DPW to determine if the poles being removed from the Route 14 corridor project are available.
  • Parking lot lining – Dawn will contact the Pembroke DPW to determine if they can assist us in re-lining the parking lot parking spaces.
  • Fan in snack shack is not working and needs to be repaired. Deirdre Reilly will contact Kyle McNamara who offered to assist with the repairs.
