Meeting of the Vestry
May 3, 2010
1. Opening Prayer Attending: John Cooper, III, Frank Deaderick,
and WelcomeJohnnye Montgomery, Mike Morris, D’on Paquette, Lily Plummer, Leola Rutledge, Bruce Shearer and Kimberly Meyers.

2. Comments to the VestryNone
3. Reading of the MinutesJohn Cooper made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. Bruce Shearer seconded, the motion carried.
4. Treasurer’s ReportCathy Figert reported that our account is not overdrawn as indicated on the financial statement. She is holding a check for $5500 until all the TXU invoices have come in. The school shows a credit balance due to the TXU confusion. A bundle of TXU documents arrived today and she will sort through them as soon as possible. Cathy Figert also reported that we are still working on getting the disability reimbursement forms turned in to the Diocese. We are waiting on a report from Dr. Gonzales’ office at this time. The forms should be submitted this week. We may need to pull money from the Smith-Barney account this summer if necessary. Cathy reported that she will be gone June, July, and the first half of August to work on completing her Masters Degree. Bruce Shearer made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, Lilly Plummer seconded, the motion carried.
5. Report of Vestry Projects:A. Church Wish List: Bruce Shearer reported that he needs a St. John’s logo to send to the painter to complete the parking lot signs. Frank Deaderick will have Cheri Stull provide Bruce with a digital image to use.
B. Church By-Laws: Lilly Plummer will ask Cheri Stull to send out a revised copy to all vestry members via e-mail. The last reading will be at the June vestry meeting.
School By-Laws: a workshop will be planned to work on this at a later time
C. PBAF-Estate Planning: no report
D. Employee Handbook: no report
6. Rector’s Report: No report.
7. Jr. Warden’s Report: No report.
8. Sr. Warden’s Report: Frank Deaderick reported that we have had fairly good attendance with the visiting priests and Bishop. Cheri is doing a good job of keeping the office running smoothly. LaRue Moore, Head of School, has requested a face to face meeting with the Senior Warden. They are scheduled to meet tomorrow.
9. Other Business:Leola Rutledge asked Senior Warden, Frank Deaderick about the school board nominations. He said that there was no quorum at the last meeting of the school board. She will return a call made to her stating that she would like to complete her term.
