Topic / Decision
Last meeting minutes / Approved by attending members for what had been discussed except for the details and changes of bylaws.
Cyclone and Earthquake / Cyclone relief funds have been disbursed according to the agreement in the last meeting. As for the China earthquake relief funds, Stan and Steven presented a check of $ 1700.00 to Chinese Consulate general in San Francisco to ensure that the money gets to the needy as soon as possible.
Appreciation to our Teacher Sao (Dr
Regina Ling) / Teacher Sao has supported our alumni association and has generously donated monetary and gifts to our association, church and Cyclone Nargis victims. We decided to show our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to her by presenting her a plaque honoring her as our association’s Lifetime adviser. We will consult her son, Noel, how to address her (her title).
Picnic Location / South San Francisco

This new location is closer to most people compared to the previous picnic site. Estimate numbers of people attending will be around 150.
Picnic Time / 11:00 a.m.-3:00pm
Volunteers should try to come early no later than10:00 a.m.
Main Entrees are: / BBQ chicken and Hot dogs (paid for by Association)- Jean will take over the responsibility of purchasing and marinating the meats.
Chicken Curry (paid for by Association)- Lulu will take the whole thing of purchasing and cooking.
Samosa (300 counts; will be paid for by association; - Peter will pick up.
Vegetable Curry: will be provided by Sidonie. Vegetable will be fresh from her garden.
Steamed Rice; - Thomas volunteered to bring 12 cups of steamed rice.
Hakka Dish (Olan Punk): - Offered by Steven Kong.

Proposal of William Su, Wan Hua Alumnus and President of New York Burmese Association : Merging of Wan Hua and New York Burmese Association website. / All voted against it since we would like to keep our identity.
Bylaws and election rules / Some changes and inserts both in Chinese and English versions were discussed and agreed upon.
Stan and Arthur will rewrite the new version and will publish in a later date.
