Guest Speaker Presentation

Molly Green from Clean Slate Kentucky

  • Clean Slate Kentucky is a free public service that provides information and training to Kentuckians with criminal records and those who work with affected communities. We aim to make expungement more accessible to all Kentuckians.

Clean Slate was created by Molly Rose Green in 2015, pursuant to a grant from the Initiative for Public Interest Law at Yale University.

  • This new law covers convictions in Kentucky only:
  • Misdemeanor and Class D Felonies
  • Charges were acquitted or dismissed
  • A pardon was received by the Governor
  • The new law takes effect 7/15/2016 and is a two-step process:
  • Apply for a certificate of eligibility
  • File for expungement
  • Please see this link more information regarding expungement in Kentucky.
