AUDUBON ADVOCATE MAR, 2017 ISSUE #24
MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS: GEORGE AND DENISE CARNEY
George and Denise went to high school together in South Hampton, Mass., graduating in 1973. Six years later, in 1979, they met up again and, after going out for one year, were married in 1980. Over the years, George worked as a Boiler Technician (12 years) followed by 14 years as a Boiler Salesman. Six years ago George and Denise formed “JJM Boiler Works” a company that makes accessories for boilers and hot water heaters.
Denise, who worked in Accounting for years, now runs their office and oversees their 8 full time employees. They have one son, Matthew, a 36 year old attorney who lives in Clearwater as well as 5 grand-children……. 2 in Clearwater and 3 in Massachusetts.George and Denise arrived at Audubon in 2013 purchasing a beautiful unit in building #4. They love our complex as well as the whole Feather Sound neighborhood which Denise described as “beautiful and accessible”. They both enjoy “walking the circle” as often as possible. One thing that is lacking……. They would love to have a heated pool as they enjoy swimming.
As for hobbies/ interests, George loves golf and sporting events with baseball and football at the top of the list. Needless to say, he is a big fan of The Red Sox and The Patriots. Denise enjoys bowling and they both love the horse races at Tampa Downs. Other interests include concerts (rock and country and western). They have attended concerts given by Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Little Big Town and Toby Keith. Finally, they both enjoy travel with Caribbean and Hawaiian cruises as well as Las Vegas ventures at the top of their list. George and Denise…….. On behalf of our Board of Directors, we’re glad to have you in our community.
IN HOUSE:
1)CURB APPEAL: Due to the interest of buying and selling in Audubon, Realtors and prospective buyers are always on property. Therefore, we are asking all residents to NOT leave your front door open or raise your windows without screens! Your front door should remain closed at all times. Not only is it unsightly, but people who do so are allowing for the possibility of dust, bugs, birds and other pests inside.
2)RECYCLING:We often receive questions on recycling. While Audubon does not offer recycling, we encourage all residents to use the Pinellas County Collection Center located at Waste Management, 2855 109th Avenue North (off 28th St. North, just south of 118th Ave North in St. Petersburg). This facility is open Mon- Fri, 6:00 AM- 6:00 PM, Sat. 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM. For additional information and directions, please go to .
3)DUMPSTER AREA:Once again, we are asking residents to refrain from placing your unwanted household items in the car wash/ dumpster area. If your items will not fit in the trash compactor, please have them removed by a private Junk Removal Company. When you dump your furniture, appliances, mattresses, toilets, water heaters etc., all owners pay for the removal. Our maintenance fees could be put to better use. Call Tony’s Hauling….. 727-657-3041.
4)PET WASTE STATIONS:Pet waste stations, located throughout the property, are for your convenience. PLEASE……. Do NOT put personal garbage in these stations!
