MEDIA EVENT:The CBC will be televising our event for the RBC Sports Day in Canada at the Cam Neeley Arena in Planet Ice in Maple Ridge. Please invite many of your friends and family to enjoy short track racing and celebrate the great sport of speed skating in Canada!

ENTRY FEE:$20.00 Cradles. (Includes $2 Officials Development Fund)

All other Skaters $35.00 (Includes $2 Officials Development Fund)

FORMATS:Medal Event: Single Distance– Placement Medals will be awarded for two distancesby division and gender for skaters T2T and up. Participation Medals will be awarded to all L2T Skaters and down. Information about format will be emailed to coaches prior to race day. Maximum of 150 skaters

EQUIPMENT:All skaters are required to wear equipment as outlined by SSC Procedures and Regulations D3-100. All skaters are required to wear shatter resistant protective sport glasses (clear or yellow are recommended) or a complete visor. Glasses must be held in place by an elastic strap. Skaters helmets must conform to SSC Rule D-3, “No bicycle helmets are allowed”. Helmets must be CSA approved and must be securely fastened under the chin. Skate Tip Blade Safety: ends must be rounded off with min. of 10 mm. radius in accordance with ISU rule 291.Skaters must wear cut resistant tubes for all competitions/meets when NO cut resistant suit is worn as indicated in rule D3-100.

IMPORTANT:Registration: Saturday Nov. 29, 2014 at 6:45 – 7:30 am at Planet Ice. For ease of registration/bookkeeping, we request that we receive one group registration and cheque per club. Any scratches made after 11:59 pmSunday, Nov 22, 2014 the skater’s club will be required to pay the registration fee on behalf of the skater. Please make sure that you have all your parents sign the skater form if they are minors.

In consideration of my accepting this entry, I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, waive and release any and all rights and claims for damages I may have against SSC and BCSSA and its member clubs and the Ridge Meadows Speed Skating Club, the City of Maple Ridge, Planet Ice, their agents, Officers or members, for any and all injuries suffered by me at said contest to be held on Saturday, Nov 29, 2014 at Planet Ice, Maple Ridge. It is required to register participants in the competition, and could be used to contact you regarding future competitions by the Ridge Meadows Racers.
